New habits take time

Well, so far so good. These first few days of being more aware of my healthy habits have gone well. I haven't done much exercise after my Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred workout on Friday though I did have a brief workout on Saturday but overall the eating has been very good. Now if the dramas of my house will allow me to get some sleep at night I'll be in a better place. The real challenge will be when I go back to work tomorrow and the vacation is over. I'm going to do some cardio dance in a bit and then I'm going to sit down and come up with a plan. It's easy to exercise and eat right when you are at home on vacation but getting back to the hustle and bustle of life is when it really becomes a challenge but I have no choice but to adjust. I have about a month before my daughter goes back to school so that's four weeks of getting in a groove and looking forward to exercise and eating right before I have to get used to the "school schedule" again. Yes, habits take awhile to form but I look forward to being able to crave exercising like I used to as well as healthy food.
It was 95 degrees here yesterday and instead of cooking after a long evening I was actually craving a nice, healthy salad. I debated on the way home where I could go to get a salad that wasn't going to be an unhealthy one. I did make a good choice, which was really as easy as choices I've made before to stop at Taco Bell or the like so it can be done with very little effort of not giving into unhealthy food. Unfortunately about 1 1/2 hours after I ate my salad I was sick to my stomach so it just makes me wonder if someone didn't wash their hands, or the lettuce, before they served me. Oh, well. That's not going to stop me from making good choices and I'm on the way to the store to stock up on my own lettuce!
