It's a good day...

Of course, I haven't even been out of bed yet for an hour, I haven't done anything more than drink my 2 cups of water and log on - haven't even eaten yet! But it's still a good day! Why? Because I choose for it to be. I have a lot to do today still - finish folding and putting away the laundry, cleaning the loft (my son's castle is in the middle surrounded by knights), rearrange his room, vacuum, finish prepping my food for the week, go to church, run to the store for the tortillas and some more veggies, plus try to catch up on Monk dvds. Will I be able to do it all? Why not? Or maybe not. I'm choosing to not stress about today. I'll walk up and down the stairs cleaning all day, so I'm not worried about tracking my cardio. Today is Sunday - my day of rest (even if just mental) - I have a lot to do, but it's mostly busy work.
I haven't even looked outside (but let's face it - it's cloudy with a chance of rain). My son is supposed to be going to Wild Waves with his dad today - hope it doesn't rain and spoil his day! I won't let the weather spoil mine.
Actually, I think awesome mood may have something to do with all the articles I read yesterday - especially the Mind over Body series. That is just reinforcing what I'm studying on my own about mindfulness practices and the entire way the mind develops and how much control we have over the habits and traits we possess. I had a great relaxation/body scan session last night (first time ever) followed by a mindfulness meditation. You know, I need to add those to my daily goals - now that I have an audio to help guide me through them.
Mindfulness practice is just part of my overall healthier lifestyle choices - but I know that it will, in conjunction with SP, help me to achieve the real me (not the NEW me - I'll still be exactly who I am).
Well, it's almost time to sign off and enjoy the rest of the day!
