End of the first week...

This week, I focused on what it takes to meet the calorie/nutrition goals. This allowed me to do my shopping today with next week's meals in mind, especially the snacks which is where I need to focus on prep work for those. Mostly, over the last several months, I've started changing my eating habits, but with SP it's much more conscientious and the tracking really helps me understand what I'm eating, how much, and helps me see where I can flex. This is also helping me focus my cooking habits on more whole grain meals and giving me the incentive to really think about what I'm cooking and not just cooking because I need something to eat. I think my fridge is better prepped for week two.

With that, next week my focus will be on getting the daily exercise in, even if just a walk at lunch time every day. It's really hard for me to get away from the computer sometimes (not just working, but playing too!), so this weekend I will be working on putting up some visual motivators to get me away from my desk and out of the office (maybe I'll take a few pictures out of the new Spiegel catalog - if their wrap skirt and top doesn't motivate me to lose weight and look great, I don't know right now what will!). With my lunches and snacks thought out and prepped, I'll be able to focus on implementing morning and afternoon exercise opportunities.

    Congratulations on completing week 1. Good luck with week 2! having a pantry/kitchen full of healthy choices will certainly be helpful in making healthy snack choices. I find that when my pantry is low it is hard to stay on track- So good for you for prepping ahead of time!

    If exercise is hard to fit in start with parking your car in the farthest spot at work, the store, etc. You'd be surprised how much exercise that will encourage. I know how hard it is to fit in exercise! I've committed myself to getting up a full hour early to hit the gym during the week and on weekends there is no such thing as sleeping in! I'm at the gym at 7 am or out for a walk! Once it is a habit you'll actually crave it and wont mind the extra early schedule (or late-depending on your style)
