Day 5 - I can do this!

First, I would just like to say Thank You to everyone who has shown support - I've only been on SP for 5 days now, but I can see that it's going to end up being an LTR! I'm looking forward to finding some local buddies for walking or even tennis (I'm not good, I just like to hit the ball!). I'm still excited about this, it still feels right, and I'm finding that tracking the food is really good discipline - even when I eat or drink something questionable, I'm not so much worried about the calories in it yet, as much as I am about, "Now...how do I track THIS?" The tracking tool has made it really easy for me to open my eyes to the foods I'm eating and helps me stop before I eat something so that I can THINK about it first, decide if it's something I really want (or am I eating it out of habit), and then think about whether or not it's something I want to track. LOL - day 5 of NO Peanut M&Ms! This isn't my first streak without them, and my goal isn't to cut them out entirely, I just want to be able to enjoy them more when I do eat them. The last time I had a streak of no M&M's, when I did finally get some, they tasted SO MUCH BETTER than when I was eating them daily.
I think that's something I'm looking forward to, actually. Once I cut the candy and junk sweets out of my daily eating, they will simply TASTE so much better and be so much more appreciated when I do indulge!
