10 lb Challenge ~ August (Day 5)

Day 5!! I've been on target today, but I'm going to have to really struggle to get my workout in tonight. I'm trying to get off to Florida tomorrow and I've done NOTHING to prepare.

Today I will:
~ Eat right (So far, so good)
~ Run
~ Try, try, try to get to the gym

Also, today...I applied for the police academy. I have worked for the police department for 14 years and have decided to try for the fire department or police department. I think I'd rather have the fire department for sure, but had to apply today to make the deadline for the police academy application process as a backup plan. I'm scared. I was so nervous...I AM nervous. Just thinking about switching...I'm 200 lbs and I'm 34 and I'm a woman. The academy wouldn't start until Spring 2010, but...I'd have to do some serious moving. Serious.

Phew...How's that for a motivator!!!

    Good for you! Babiey, you can do anything you set your mind to doing! Yes, i agree it is a huge step FORWARD! Moving forward is such a great thing. You keep it up, I know you will do well. Great job on your eating! Focus, focus, focus. I'm also glad you and your ex are getting along much better. One day at a time. emoticon

    Good luck with your application. That is one way to get/stay into shape! I have challenged myself to lose 10 pounds in August as well. I am doing ok so far but it is early in August! emoticon I will tell you the same thing I tell myself - take it one day at a time. We can do this. emoticon
