I don't feel like exercising...

I'm just too tired! I know - it's early - just barely 6:30. But this is one of my hardest obstacles to overcome - just doing it. My alarm went off, I hit the snooze. My snooze went off, I said 15 more minutes...then 30...then 45. I could barely open my eyes. So I sit there and think - well, obviously, you're tired. Get some rest - you need it.
Ahhh...but I also need to get up and exercise - without exercise, I won't accomplish my goals.
You can exercise later! You don't have to do it as soon as you get up...
True, but be honest - when WILL I exercise - if not now, when?
Well, you can do it after work...
What, while I'm cooking? I don't think so...
What about when you get home...
That's my time with JP - if he doesn't want to play, then maybe.
Fine, then what about lunch time? You have an hour...
True, but today I need to run errands that CAN'T be put off any more (RENT!).
Fine, then just don't exercise today...
Okay...well, I'll at least try for a walk...Maybe I can park far from the bank and walk...don't know what to do about the strength training...maybe while JP's watching some TV tonight...
Or not...
Or not...
We'll see...

See! That's how I unmotivate myself! AAACCCKKKK!!!

    Actually, I ended up doing pretty good today. I parked 1/4 mile from the bank and walked there in 8 minutes, including going up a hill. Same walk back to the car. Then after I picked my son up from preschool, we played baseball for 45 minutes - he hits a lot of home runs, so I spent quite a bit chasing after the ball! All in all, not too bad. Tonight, however, will be spent challenging my gray matter - I have to put together his new Playmobile castle that a friend from church gave us...wish me luck! emoticon

    I hope you were able to get up and get some exercise in. It can be hard some days. Just believe you are worth it, and you deserve it.

    It is all about babysteps....if you beat yourself up at the start of the game it will not help you...honor where you are and love yourself for moving a little more each day

    It can be so hard to get motivated to exercise, but I have found that if I keep a routine and exercise around the same time daily, it becomes more of a habit. Its a good idea to park further away to get in more walking, even if it is only a short walk. Welcome to the team!

    I know it can be a vicious circle...I used to feel too tired to exercise...but now I notice that the more I exercise, the more energy I have. And the more energy I have, the more I feel like exercising!

    Hey whatever it takes...park a little further away from the door...pick up JP (i assume that's your son) a few times while he's watching TV. I hope you make it a better day! emoticon
