tired of complaining

Saturday, August 01, 2009

I am really tired of complaining. But I am really having a hard time dealing with all this pain. I see the doctor at the arthritis clinic in a couple of weeks and hope to find out if there is anything I can do to alieviate some of this pain. I still have some pain pills and have to take them sometimes just to get through the day. I can't live on pills all the time tho. What a deal. If I want to do anything it means taking a pain pill otherwise I can hardly move. I am thankful the weather has been cooler this summer. And I am thankful for my friends. They keep me going.
Struggling. emoticon

I am so sorry that your pain level is so bad. I totally understand what you are going through because severe pain is a part of my life each day, each hour, each minute, each second, or in short, ALL the time. Keep your chin up and know that there are things that your doctor can give you that will help. The key is finding the right combination for you, and sometimes this can take longer than you would like for it to and will also need adjustments in amounts and kinds, the longer you take it.

One thing that I learned to accept many years ago, is the fact that pain medication is, and always will be, a part of my life. No matter what some who have no idea of the pain you endure and who still think they have all the answers, might say about you taking it ALL the time and saying you should not do such a thing, they don't live in your body and do not feel your pain. Because they don't FEEL what you feel and don't really have a clue as to what living with pain is truly like, they don't have the right to judge or comment on the pain medication you might or might not need. Please DO NOT let others make you feel guilty for needing or taking the medication you take. Only you, with your doctor's oversight, can know this and know what is necessary for you.

I worried about your comment above when you said you were concerned about taking something every day for the rest of your life. Again, don't be. Your doctor will help you with those decisions and help you find what is right for you. Once you find that right combination of meds, take them every day, don't worry about having to do so, enjoy your life with as little pain as possible by doing this, and your life can be one that is as pain free as posible, and as enjoyable as you make it.

It is YOUR life. Take your daily pain medication and enjoy yourself with as little pain as you can possibly have. Have a wonderful life! You will be in my prayers and please keep me in yours. I have so many pain issues and diseases that my doctors can't keep mine under control right now. I pray they find a combination that will alleviate it to a tolerable level very soon.

    In Prayer,
