At Last!!!

Anticipation was high and I prayed that my efforts would be rewarded. I had worked hard on my goals all week, although the weekend continued to be very difficult with folks bringing in high caloric/fat foods for the workshops. Yet, I believed that there was no way the scale should stay the same. I specifically waited for Tuesday when I would have access to the digital scale. I'm thinking that might be one of my rewards - to invest in a digital scale. Anyway, I climbed on and watched as the numbers cycled then adjusted themselves. BINGO!!!! I had lost 1.6 pounds. It felt like I had lost a hundred pounds; I was so elated. I thank God for small mercies, and this was one of them. I am even more motivated to continue on diligently for another week. Losing weight in any measure is wonderful and another 1.6 pounds wouldn't be bad for a repeat performance. I'm looking forward to next Tuesday.
