Living with diabetes is a pain, isn't it? I've had Type I for 20+ years and have never really had super tight control, but I have no complications so I must be doing something right. Email me if you want to talk!
Yes! Yes! Do check regularly, because other things than food do affect blood glucose. My sister, 59, just got out of hospital with ketonacidosis caused by the flu. It had gone around work twice, then she got it and was totally unprepared, didn't know, that it could make her blood sugar shoot up really fast, over 1400. So, be very careful and consistant on the times you check. Get help if you are siick. She went into shock before she could let anyone know what was happening. Take care, Love, Shirley 3705 days ago
