Well... last week, when I was good, I was very good, but at lunch, I was very bad. Burgers and fries, caesar wrap and fries, McDonalds trio breakfast... And, I was bothered by what might have been shin splints...
This week, I am trying to be a little more careful (despite no exercise yesterday, because of unhappy innards). I had a short walk on Monday (with some pain in my shins, but not unbearable), and a longer walk today. I have been accurately counting my intake, and am hoping that the scale tomorrow will be a little nicer than today. (I know it's not right, but I haven't changed my weight on SparkPeople since it started lightly going up. I'd moved up to 274.6 at one point, but the scale this morning was 273. I am hoping that tomorrow morning, it will match the weight that Sparkpeople thinks I'm at. A bit of a push, but cross your fingers!
Why can't french fries be healthier? I mean... I know that I can sort of make my own, by spraying sliced potato with a bit of olive oil and seasoning (e.g. italian seasoning or rosemary) and baking in the oven, but it's too hot for that. At times like these, I really miss my toaster oven. Can't wait to move into our new house, where the toaster oven will be mounted to the cupboards and always accessible!! No worries about *heating up the place* with a toaster oven. So much better than a full oven!
In other news, I have signed up for my term insurance (if I die, my sister will get paid a decent amount to cover my share of the mortgage payments on the house), and gone shoppning for a living room set that in retrospect I don't want. Creme leather is not the best colour when my god-daughter comes for a visit. She wasn't called destructo-baby for nothing! I'll bet that she'll be the sort of kid who will take things apart to figure them out, without ever putting things back together again! She'll be 3 in just over a month! Wow, time flies!
Anyhow, that's enough stream of consciousness... I'll be walking in tomorrow morning, but not in the afternoon (depending on the icky rain that's expected). Why can't Mother Nature cooperate??
