Back Home Again

I'm using the title of the John Denver hit for my blog, because I feel it is appropriate. I journeyed through parts of West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina this past weekend, and the beauty of this part of the country is simply unbelieveable. My first destination was Big Stone Gap, Va, to watch the outdoor drama "Te Trail of the Lonesome Pine", based on a novel by JohnFox Jr, who lived for a while in that town. I was even selected from the audience to be a juror inthe play..and received a certificate verifying my role! On Friday, we (my wife and I) journeyed through the Blue Ridge Mountains, through Va, and Tennessee to Asheville, NC to visit my in-laws, and spent a few days with them. On Saturday I walked around Lake Tomahawk, and viewed the Seven Sisters, a mountain range visible from the lake. We left this morning, stopping in Tennessee at an overlook to get a few last pictures of those beautiful mountains. But I'm glad to be home, to get back to my schedule of walking and strength training, and where I can keep a better track of my nutrition.
And, of course, to blog and chat with my Spark Friends and Facebook friends!
