Woops...I went over today

Thursday, July 16, 2009

I had a big lunch today...then I had a 3-musketeer craving...and I got one out of the vending machine. If I didn't have that, I would have been OK today. Oh well...I'll just have to go do extra walking tonight.

This morning, I used Exercise TV to do my cardio. I haven't used it in a while and they have some new ones on there. I enjoy that channel because there is a good variety of things to try. BUT, I have to say, the BEST exercises I've ever done is TaeBo. Billy Blanks is a great motivator even through the TV. I feel like he's talking right to me! I've been getting up about 1/2 later for exercise than I used to, because I just need more rest I think. All of the TaeBo routines I have are 40 minutes to an hour and I don't want to go into work any later than I do now. ........ hmmmmm...sounds like I'm making excuses. I do need more rest, but what is the big deal really of working out a little later than I used to anyway? I say this to my self every morning...maybe if I type it, I'll be accountable to myself.

Those darn guys with their capes and swords! It's just not fair - Three of them against One of you! You know they are bad guys, so don't let them trick you again. They are just trying to get out of that vending machine. (I hear they hate hearing Snickers and the hummmming of those MMMM & MMMMs!)

I have good and bad days. I just try to concentrate on a day-by-day basis. I love Billy Banks dvd's too! The amped series is a bit hard on me, but I enjoy his older vhs tapes! Plus, the amount of cardio per dvd/tape is awesome, and always a good workout! Morning workouts are good, and then a person can burn calories most of the day. I do find that I have more energy at night to do Billy Blanks workouts, so maybe you could try doing them after dinner??

Some days are better than others. During my journey I've noticed that it's more like a roller coaster than the train ride at the amusement park. Some of the hills and valleys are bigger than others, but as long as you keep moving that's all that matters.

This is the way I see it. We are trying to get a healthy relationship with food. There will be days when we eat too much. As long over the long term, we are eating better, working out and sticking to a better relationship with food and body we are doing great!
