Bad foods go down easy Good foods are a struggle!

Wednesday, July 15, 2009

Isn't that always the way? It's incredible how onion rings go down smooth and easy and silent -- and a grilled turkey burger (no bun) takes awhile to get down.... the lap band causing gurgles along the way. LOL.

Well folks I am realizing that each and every day that I don't do at least 75% of the bandster steps -- means the scale stays fixed in position.

No, I am not gaining -- but I am not losing either!

I have stopped tracking my daily food intake
I have stopped exercising
I have stopped concentrating on making protein my first (and nearly only) portion of my meals.
I have stopped counting to 30 after every bite...

So I need to get back to basics.

And the scale will move again -- lower.

I find it to be the opposite way. When I eat healthy, the food slides right down. As soon as I go for the bad stuff (such as onion rings), it always gets stuck. Helps me to eat healthy though!

I feel exactly the same. I have no trouble eating the bad foods and I seem to have trouble with the good foods!!

I know the feeling...I can eat nachos til the cows come home but put a healthy salad in front of me and I will be puking in about 10 mins! It is difficult. We all know. You can do it though. You made it this far. Staying on track is hard it took a number of years to get into our bad habits, we won't conquer them overnight!

Dang, now I want a grilled chicken salad!!!
