Been on SparkPeople a week. I have really enjoyed being on the site and learning to use it. Have had the realization that I DO OVEREAT, Mostly with out knowing it. My life is so erratic especially with the health issue my husband has. I have become the unorganized person. Everyone else thinks I am organized BUT I am struggling. Honestly it's this MENOPAUSE thing I am experiencing. It has affected my memory terribly and while everything has a place me remembering where that place is has become the problem. SO yesterday, I resolved yesterday that I have to up my intake of natural herbs, using them to curb my appetite as well as boost the needed nutrients my body craves to help me through this MENOPAUSE thing.
I have researched health and nutrition for a long time NOW IT IS TIME FOR ACTION.
I went to an herb shop yesterday and bought: 2 oz of echenica, 1 oz cloves, 1 oz spearmint, and 2 oz elderberries. When I got home I mixed them all into a jar, shook them good and took 1/2 cup of the mix and put it in a pan with 4 cups water and boiled it for tea, once boiled and steeped, I added it to a half gallon picture of water and put it in the refrigerator I have been drinking on it ever since and am enjoying it immensely.
I am now acutely aware of my food intake and watch everything I put in my mouth and today I will make a list to reference to remember where I organize my life....."hopefully I will remember where I put the list" LOL.

IT HAS BEEN A TOUGH WEEK....but I have survived it and now start a new week. I did manage to lose 2 lbs. SO PROGRESS BEGINS.

Thanks SparkPeople for giving me the tools to begin again.

Good to start fresh every week, every day so that there's always hope ahead. Hang in there.
I found a funny cartoon "Maxine", where she says:
"Real women don't have hot flashes...they have POWER SURGES!

Thanks for your comments on my blog on plateaus.
