I am a taster. Since I live alone, it is usually easy not to cook, thus saving many tastes. Today the Grandson requests brownies. Could I possible turn him down?

I don’t really have a problem with brownies. The real trouble is what I promised his mother. She wants a peach custard and Nanny’s Chicken Salad. My peach custard is too good not to sample. Daddy (diabetic) sampled tiny slivers until his lips went numb once. Now I cannot even let him know that I have it in the house.

Now I ask you . . .
How can I resist the peach custard when a diabetic is driven to numb lips over it. I will wait until much later to bake it.

This is my last day with the Grandson. We are going to clean up part of the mess the storm made last night when he finishes watching The Incredible Mr. Limpit. Sssssssshhhhhhh! He does not know that this is an OLD movie. Ha ha ha He would never watch it if he knew his Nanny watched it as a child.

Tomorrow we spend the day with his mother: picnic, hike, maybe a swim or museum. Then he goes home, and my life goes back to a quiet empty house. Still, life is good! I am blessed!

Until we meet again, may all your Sparks be happy ones!
