It's my fault

Friday, July 10, 2009

I can only blame myself for being lazy. According to the dr. scales today I've gained 5 lbs since I've been home. I'm not happy so now I need to get off my lazy butt and get exercising.

It's been so nice the past couple days but today I left the house at 8:30AM for my fasting blood testhe frame shop wasn't open yet so , drove to Staples to get a printer cartridge, drove to the hospital for my dr. appt, found out she was an hour behind. I had a 10:45 appt, finally saw her at 12:15 but she is a great dr, I've had used her for 8 years now. Went to the grocery store and tried to look for bargains and got home at 3:30. I still didn't get some things done I needed too so another day in the car on Saturday.

Hang in there Robin! I know it's especially hard when you are around family and visiting and settling into a different kind of routine than what you are used to. Just give yourself some time to redirect your thoughts and break out some of those Walk Away the Pounds DVD's and I'm sure you'll be feeling much better in no time :)

Just talk to yourself and remind yourself that even on holidays you need to exercise. Maybe you will start back up again and lose those 5 lbs. before you know it. The weather is better here than where you were so maybe you've been taking it easy because you're enjoying it so much. Don't be afraid to sweat and get hot. You can always shower afterwards. Take your shower in the mornings after walking. That way you're feeling good all day.

When you have had a mini holiday (as I have just done) it is so hard to get back into the swing of things. Sit yourself down and give yourself a good talking to. Be firm and it will happen again for you.
    Good luck

It can be discouraging but don't let the scale get you down. Keep your eyes on the goal and you will be moving in the right direction. A healthy lifestyle is more than losing weight. emoticon
