I'm pre-diabetic

Went to the doctor and had lots of blood work done. Turns out that I am pre-diabetic. My sugar and insulin levels were slightly high after a fasting insulin test, putting me at risk for diabetes. I am currently on a 8-12 week doctor supervised diet to "reset" my pancreas. I am having an organic/denatured whey protein shake at least twice a day and can only eat quality protein and veggies. No fruit or insulin producing veggies (tomatos, white potatoes, carrots, corn) and of course no rice, cereal, oatmeal, bread..... Day one went well. I have not had any hunger bangs, in fact I feel full most of the day. So far so good on keeping cravings at bay. I am releived because now I know the reason for my difficulty losing weight. Donny has lost 15 pounds (he too had similar issues and has been on the same diet about 6 weeks) so I am hoping for good results. He hasn't done any exercising and I have been exercising regularly for 3 months now, and will continue. I will be very pleased to drop just 1 pounds a week----here's to staying focused and being tenacious!!!!
