The hormones made me do it!

Tuesday, July 07, 2009

Oops, by the time I had finished eating last night, and typed it all in (including the 2 tortillas that I totally forgot about until this morning) the total for yesterday was just over 2000...ooops indeed.

But I felt ravenous. (I think I have to stay away from bread-like things...they make me far too hungry!)

I blame the hormones.

This morning I stepped on the scales and they were announcing 1.5KG (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) more.

Now, I KNOW it is not scientifically possible for that much weight to have appeared from such a relative small excess...so it will be off in the next few days, but it did make me feel like a small warning from the karmic postman as to what would happen should I not be reasonable...

So...it's back to business as usual. I started the one-week bootcamp yesterday (10 min cardio) and also did the DONE dancing challenging...it felt SO GOOD !!!

So today, as more rain is cooling the air, I will again do some wii fit whilst watching 'you are what you eat' (i figure, double bonus, right?) and then tackle more cardio, more dancing...because I had so much energy last night I could barely get to sleep at midnight!!!!!!

Happy Tuesday to all!!!!!!

I can't weigh everyday or I go crazy. I thought i had gained 6 pounds, then down 4, then up 5, now down 3... i mean those are big changes from day to day at different times!
i want to try wii fit, it sounds like so much fun!
thank you for the chillies!! ;)

I just had a friend stop by for lunch. When asked if she could bring a dessert I said triumphantly "No need, I've made peach cobbler." Well, she came with a tasty looking cake anyway and left it here. So, baby and I ate about half of it once my friend left...

I think I'll go out and burn a bunch of calories now! You have motivated me!

Tell me about that show, it sounds great!

First step to success is awareness and you are very aware!

Once about every two weeks I will have a "hungry-hungry" day (I feel like pac-man, if you know what that is emoticon ), and I am way past the hormone stage of life.

When that happens, I look at what I've been eating to see if maybe I'm missing some type food.....or perhaps overdoing it on one type of food that squeezes out another. Usually for me it's whole grains that I've been skimping on.

yeah, that sounds a little off with the scale's measurements. I'm glad that you figured that out and can continue on with your progress! Whoo dancing is great isn't it...I LOVE that show "You are What you Eat," too. I enjoy how they change at the end..I guess they don't really have a choice with Gillian McKeith on their butts huh? emoticon

My scales give me little karmic reminders too. My weight can vary so much in one day (+/- 1 kg) - let alone day to day so I try to only record my 'official' weight once a week - but it doesnt stop me hopping on & off the scale inbetween. My best time to weigh is after my 40 minute cycle ride home - that's when its lowest (from dehydration!) - but it gives me a boost!
