My lungs!

Saturday, July 04, 2009

I have not been that great about exercise. Yesterday I woke up and got a bug up my butt to go hiking!! Yay! Yes, I don't exercise much so I'll go from sitting on couch at 5,335 ft to 5,800 ft and then hike to 6,340 ft. Ugh! My knees were great and that made me so happy. My lungs though! I had that side cramp you get from over doing it. This time it jettisoned up in to my shoulder. Hurt like a motherhumper. Like some sort of spaz who hasn't lived here her entire life I decided to just drink a SlimFast shake instead of eating a bowl of cereal like I know better and should have. So then my stomach starts flip flopping up there. What kept me from puking was not wanting the wildlife to potentially get sick from eating my chocolate puke. Priorities...I have them.

Soooo, while the hike was lovely I got a stern reminder to start walking every evening so that I can hiking without wanting to die.

My women's history classes never went on field trips! Now I'm jealous!

No I haven't tried the hike again, it's only been four days emoticon I can tell you're super excited for the hiking (as well you should be)! Hiking for the win!!

Ok--so, did you do it? did you do that hike again this weekend? I went on a hike this weekend, at Loc Lomond reservoir. Fifty-six minutes and 49 of it was within high-medium target heart rate! YIPPEEEE!! lol Then today my women's history class went on a field trip and I got another 55 minute hike in! that one was unintentional--we had to park way far away from our starting point and hike to it. emoticon

I love that it's "strenuous" as well. Andy chose that one saying, "well, let's start on an easier trail since we haven't been hiking much this summer." Arsehole. emoticon From now on I'm checking online unless we've hiked the trail in the last month!

It's on, every night I'll get my walk on!

Wow!! I am so impressed!! with your concern about animal safety, too. hehehe I looked at your link and that is an assbusting trail!! I challenge you to walk everyday this week, then do that trail again next weekend--I bet you won't be quite so wibbly-wobbly and out of breathe.

    ROCK ON!! emoticon
