I went to the fruit & vegetable store in middle village today. They are much cheaper than the one on Fresh Pond Road near me. I bought pears for my daughter. She likes the brown ones like my father did. I also bought plums, cherries, green peppers, nectarines, blueberries, yellow apples, sweet potatoes & eggplant. I am really going to try and eat more fruit & vegetables instead of junk food. I really want to get down to a healthy BMI. I can't believe my BMI is in the obese range now. I don't want to have a heart attack or get another deadly disease. I am too young to be this heavy.

    It is great that you found a place to buy fresh fruits and vegetables for a resonable price. It is sad that it cost more money to eat healthy than it does to eat fast food or junk food. I am also teetering in the obese range and I also don't like it. It is a long process and sometimes frustrating. I just have to keep moving forward. Keep up the good work. One of my favorite is sweet potato fried (in light margarine) until it is crisp. YUMMY!!

    Eating fresh fruits and veggies is a good way to start getting healthy!
    Then add some kind of exercise and you will start dropping the pounds too.
