Wii Fit (& other fitness) Weeks 4 & 5

Friday, July 03, 2009

Well... life happens while you're busy making other plans, doesn't it?! I admit I've not only been slacking on my blog a little, but also my Wii a little.

On EA Active, I've got 5 more workouts to do of the 30-day challenge, and I'm not quite finishing it in 30 days. But, hey, I'm STICKING WITH IT!!!

On Wii Fit, I've got to do more with it. I've kind of gotten so caught up w/ EA Active that Fit went by the wayside.

Today I did my EA workout and 40 min of Fit. It felt really good! I've also got another regimen of exercises that I need to do everyday. I've got some undue strain on my knees - turns out it's because of my feet(which are extremely flat and not doing their job quite properly) and also because my hips are NOT strong. (Who knew?!?!) So, I just started Physical Therapy and am doing side planks, torso twists, calf raises, and... standing on one leg with my eyes closed. Try it - it's surprisingly hard! Oh... and NO jumping. Not until I'm stronger.

Anyhow, I'm actually really excited to be working on something that's going to really help strengthen me where I need it so that my knees get a bit of a break. Did you know that your knees withstand 3 times your body weight?! YIKES! No wonder I've been getting derailed! So here's to staying on track and finally getting the help I really need!

Good luck with your knees, ugh! But I loved seeing another Wii Fit fan! I quit my gym membership as I never used it anyways and I LOVE my Wii Fit! It's amazing to me how much of a sweat you can work up on that bad boy! Keep on keepin' on!! ~~JTwice~~
