Giving myself a good talking-to

If I drift away from sparkpeople I drift away from my commitment to lose weight and live a healthy life. I lack will-power and motivation but logging in every day keeps these two important aspects of being in control of your life, for whatever reason, to the forefront. The trick is to keep logging on to Sparkpeople, it is said that if you do something for 21 days then it becomes a habit and so I just have to force myself to find time to log in 21 times and then I will do it automatically - that should not be too hard.
I am now 61 and therefore losing weight is not just about being healthy any more it is also about being about to move about, to walk, to enjoy the countryside, to not be frightened if the flimsy chair at a friends looks like it will not hold my weight, not to walk round cars in car parks because I do not think I can get through the gap, to join in when my family are swimming or playing tennis instead of sitting on the sidelines holding the coats and bags to feel that I have achieved something and not to feel like I am letting my life slip by.
So many reasons to lose weight but I cannot think of one reason to stay the weight I am.
Now is my time.....I am in control.
