Car Problems

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

We were just getting a little bit caught up from the move and the no work and everything going wrong etc. Bought a car that we thought and the person that checked it out thought would be dependable. I think we have only had it about 6 weeks and now the transmission is dead. That car is the only car for all five of us right now. My husband is riding bike to work, my 19 year old is walking, and my 23 year old is trying to figure out the bus schedule (we have never been on a bus before.) She has taken cabs the past two days but she will have to change that soon or her whole pay check will belong to the cab company. We spent money that we had to pay some of our monthly bills to have the car towed, buy a radiator, have the radiator installed, fluids flushed, and lucky us the cars transmission was also dead. We barely meet expenses and now to fix the car it would cost$3,500 - that is like a million dollars to us at this point in our lives. We had spent our income tax money to buy this car as our other car would not pass inspection and needed major repairs. After Crying my eyes out and calming down just a bit - We have no idea what to do!!!! Very Frustrated!!

I am sorry to hear about your car and the financial burden it will place on you and your family. I am hoping that something will come through to help ease your stress.
