Good News from the Dr.

First, the good news. He's not sure what the last guy heard, but he doesn't detect any signs of a heart murmer. Yippee! He was a bit confused because the last dr obviously felt it was pretty bad since he told me to stop exercising, but this guy can't detect anything. He said that since I have no history, and there's minimal family history, it was up to me if I wanted further tests. I'm fine skipping it for now, so we're going to. He also says I can go back to exercising if I want to, no reason he can see not to. So I think I'll start out "slow" tomorrow morning and go back to the 30 day shred to get my stamina back up before hitting her other videos.
Now, as far as my other symptoms, most of them can fit either into thyroid problems or peri-menopause. So we're going to run a test to see if I'm beginning menopause. We're also doing a full thyroid work-up, all the standard bloodwork (check iron, b vitamin levels, cholesterol, sugar, all the general stuff) and he's also going to check liver and kidney functions.
And something I really liked is he suggested I come back in a couple weeks to go over the results. I HATE getting those phone messages "everything is fine" that tell you nothing really. So I'm happy to have a dr who is willing to discuss it in person and work with me to figure out what the next step is.
*Very* Happy Camper!
