I took off on Friday to deal with court with my ex. My daughter is now officially emancipated and he can go pounds sand (and please lose my phone number). Short version is that he actually showed up on time, they took us first, we agreed she's old enough and she's emancipated. Instead of having to deal with his hmmming and hawing, I told the judge to just drop whatever past due is left on the account because I just don't need the stress of fighting to get it back. I can't figure how he thinks he's entitled to what's still being processed since he's behind so far, but I never understood his logic. All I know is it's over now. I am grateful for that.
So, I got home at 9:30 and had the whole day in front of me. (Wasn't planning on getting home till the afternoon.) I decided to read the latest James Patterson novel. I haven't spent a day reading in a long time, so it was a total luxury! I also got the roots touched up in the afternoon, so I'm a definite red-head again!
Friday night hubby surprised me by taking me on a nice long ride. It didn't occur to me that when the local HOG club went on rides to places they went the scenic route! So, we got almost 100 miles in through some really pretty country on Friday night. Had a so-so dinner, and got caught in the rain on the way back, but not till the very end.
Saturday was a lazy day. Boychild's soccer game got cancelled as we were on our way there. (Nothing like waiting till the last minute!) So we just watched tv and vegged all day. Made a wonderful flounder dinner that girlchild had decreed has to be made again. All in all, a pretty perfect lazy day.
Yesterday we did our first poker run with Bucks County HOG. Talk about FUN! We were in the first group to go out and at one point our group had over 150 bikes in it. Boy, what a pretty site. The roads were a bit "iffy" in spots and we had to make a number of detours, but it was so worth it. Talk about a spectacular day! Although it started cold, once it started warming up it was just perfect. And looking out from the roof of Brians to see all those bikes lined up as people finished the ride - well, I think I had a bikegasm.
Overall I bet we did over 200 miles on our butts this weekend. I was actually glad to get into a car this morning. While I love our sportster, it's not the softest ride available. But I'd do it all again in a heartbeat - sore backside and all!
