Weekends are especially diffiult staying on track. Everyone going in different directions, get-togethers, messed up meal times, etc. This weekend was no different. Baseball games, team party, shopping with teenage daughters., getting kids ready for camp, etc. For the most part I made good food choices and did get out and exercise a bit. I am glad that it is all but over and I can get back into a bit of a routine. Cravings for sweets were more intense than usual but I did a decent job of choosing fruit, cocoa roast nuts and low-cal ice cream bars (what would I do without them?) when my thoughts turned to chocolate. I am learning to enjoy the process and strive to keep things in balance---perfectionism can, and does, sabotage my efforts when I let it. Understanding that about myself is the biggest step.
