WOOHOO 60 pounds bites the dust!

Saturday, June 13, 2009

Well today officially marks the 60 pounds lost day for me. I was so excited when I stepped on that scale. I have been getting out there in the yard and working hard. I have been watching my portion controls and trying to eat better. I do have bad days and do eat things I shouldn't but I try to keep them in check.

I have a very hard time eating many vegetables but I try to get in the ones that I can. I think getting out there and moving, gardening and mowing ( no matter how painful LOL) has really made a difference. But I was stuck for a while and now it is good to see the scale move. I wanted to get down to 199 by June 1, 2009. I didn't make that goal but it is in sight.

I lost 40 piounds before I came here but being with all the wonderful people here has made the last 20 more fun. Thank you Spark Guy for the wonderful site and all the info you have made available to so many. And I know you haven't done it alone, so thanks to your wonderful motivating staff as well.

The people who have helped me along the most are Lizzy, MRSFARRAND, and my amazing friends on the Moving It team and the One Pound at a Time team who have been the biggest inspiration for me. YOU ALL ROCK! Now on to the last 40!! I do believe I can do this!!

And Thanks to Lady Anne and Mauri who give me such wonderful, peaceful posts to think about and try to live by. They know I need all the help I can get! LOL LOL

When I read this - it brought a tear to my eye. Wow - I know exactly what you mean by friendship and the way it uplifts every part of you life. Especially with this journey. I can say enough how this website, these friends and the few people in my life physically make such a HUGE impact on how I am able to make these so important changes in my life.

Look at you and all you accomplished? Did you ever think it was possible that you would say I lost 60 pounds. YOu didnt do it by surgery, tummy tucks, pills, starvation, slimfast, etc but by your shill will. Your determination. Your never give up attitude. Your quest for more. Your willingness to admit your faults as well as your strenghts. You believed in yoruself even when you hit walls. You got discouraged but you bounced back. You are capable of so much then you ever thought you were right? I am so proud of you today. Take pics of youself on the scale with this number so you can always remember this moment. ANd know that more moments like these are sure to come!!!

I think what has been most inspiring to me is that you are and your family are survivors of medical conditions that would have sent anyone into a hurling of depression. You also faced some sad news with the death of a family member. YOu had lots of things going on in your life that COULD have changed your course but you kept your health at the top of you mind. You see - if you are not healthy - you cant really help anyone eles. You are brilliant!!!

    WOW! emoticon You are amazing!
I have done nothing but gain since joining SP & stopping my smoking addiction. All my life I was dedicated towards trying to gain weight (after the Twiggy rage). Now I am struggling with the opposite. I pray to some day balance my scales at a healthy mark!
emoticon I am really proud of you.
