Not eating enough?

I think my "slump" may finally be coming to an end. After much research I believe my calorie intake was just too low (1200-1500). What I have been hearing is that my body is storing everything in anticipation of starving because I am working out so hard (burning close to 500 calories per day, most days of the week)---how crazy is that?. I increased my calorie intake as well as my protein and it seems I have since lost one pound. YOOHOO!!! I reamain diligent in working out and learning as much as possible. I still don't know if my calorie range is where it should be because there is so much conflicting information out there. I will keep plugging along and tweak the calories as I go if I need to. I just didn't think it was going to be so difficult while doing everything "right," or that my body would actually "outsmart" me through the whole process.
