6/10/09 Wii Fit Week 2

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Alrighty! I've had this thing for 2 weeks now... and I couldn't wait so I went and got the EA Sports Active game. I've done 2 workouts on it and have my 3rd one today. While I wasn't thrilled at doing a million lunges, I will say, this game is EFFECTIVE!!! Not that Wii Fit isn't with the Yoga and Strength training, but this puppy is definitely making me sweat. Freakin' Sweet!

Currently I'm doing the prescribed 30-day workout on EA, and then 15-30 min of some Wii Fit activity. I've also been throwing in 40-60 min of rollerblading (which is definitely a challenge since I haven't rollerbladed for at least a couple of years...) as well as going for walks. I think I'm targeted for burning 2000-2500 calories a week.

I feel good. I haven't felt any crippling soreness... just tightness (especially after ALL those lunges). But, I will say this dudes, I CANNOT stay within my caloric intake levels. I am CRAZY hungry!! Any suggestions??

It sounds crazy, but the one thing that really seems to keep me full is eggs. Like a scrambled egg on a whole wheat english muffin----I don't know, but it works. I can't wait to try the new Active game. I have a Wii, but not the Wii Fit. Would I need the Wii Fit to play Active? I was told that if you are already pretty active the Wii Fit isn't for you. But the new Active sounds like it would really burn some calories.------Amy

Hi I've had my Wii Fit since Feb. Just bought Ea Sports Active. Today is my Day 3 of 30 day challenge. Wow didn't Day 2 have a ton of lunges. Today was a rest day but I put together my own routine without lunges lol.

I've been having the same problem with being super hungry lately. Can't give you any suggestions on that. I've been trying to drink more water but that doesn't seem to help. Just stopped by to let you know you aren't alone with being hungry. Have a great night!
