Physical Therapy

Friday, June 05, 2009

For the first time in my life..I love physical therapy. I've been for everything under the sun before I was diagnosed with Arthritis & Fibromyalgia. I'm at a new facility that my Fibro dr recommended! Wow... I still have pain etc...put the stretches and core exercises Kathleen has shown me helps! She says my progress is a bit faster because most of her patients aren't as active or exercise as much as I do... emoticonGO ME lol...She introduced me to a foam roller for exercise and I bought one from her! Thursday I went and she said wow you're getting stronger how much have you lost girlfriend... emoticonSooo she is sending me to aquatics/water exercises/aerobics next week...She thinks I'm ready...

On that same note...my DH was like wow your waist is shrinking when he hugged me goodbye...Today was a GOOD DAY! It rained and stormed but WHO CARES lol

Will post about my water aerobics when I try it!
There isn't a cure for Fibro...just have to find a happy median to get you thru

Thought for the Day: "All that you don't enjoy you endure"

I'm so happy that you have found something that helps with the fibro. My neighbor told me that the water aerobics helps her a great deal.

Glad to hear that you are gaining benefit from PT. PT can be such a pain-literally. Having your DH notice your efforts must have been very special to you. Please let us know about the water aerobics. I would love to attend such a class but it is a twenty minute drive so I am debating.

emoticon Glad to hear the PT went so well today! What a blessing!

I know it must have 'made your day' for your DH to notice your slimmer waistline, too! emoticon Hope you gave him an extra hug for noticing, LOL!

Sounds like you really had a blessed day! emoticon I'm glad; you deserve it!

I'm glad the PT is helping. I had tendon problems for 3 years and 2 month's of physical therapy cleared that up - it just took finding a doctor who actually wanted to fix the problem! I still do the stretches, especially when my ankle or calf muscle feel tight.
