My accomplishments this past year

Here is what I have accomplished over this last year on Sparkpeople. I've been pretty active, starting in May 2008. I gradually built up, reaching a peak in October 2008. Since then, the amount of exercise I get has been tapering off. On the good side, the exercise I get is more vigorous. I run 3 days a week, and will be running my first 5K on June 20, following by an 8K about a month later. I also bike almost every weekend. The best I have done is about 42 miles in one day. I am hoping that this summer, I can get back up to where I was last summer, because my weight hasn't been coming off as fast as I would like. On the other hand, I am very pleased that I can walk faster, and bike and run farther than I could even a few months ago. I know I am getting stronger. Now I just need to start losing weight again.

    What a fabulous year of progress you've had. Such an empowering feeling when you know that you are getting stronger with every day that passes. Best of Luck with your 5K and 8K...     What a great year you have had - it sounds as if you have really created a wonderful training schedule for yourself! Best of luck to you with your 5K & 8K. (I start week 6 of the Couch to 5K program today and am hoping to run a 5K in the next several months.) Sounds like you are racking up a lot of fitness miles! Keep up the great work, those pounds are sure to melt away!

    WOW! You are doing so awesome! Did you think you would be running a 5K when you started spark? I bet not!

    You have really made some accomplishments over the past year, and I bet they only go up from here too! You have found an inner strength I bet, you didn't know you had! Congrats on taking your health seriously!

    I for one, am proud to call you friend! (and inspired very much by you, as well!)
