6/4/09 Wii Fit Week 1

As promised, I'm checking in after week 1 of Wii Fit.

I've used it every day, although yesterday was my shortest day: I only did the body test and 16 min of activities. I've unlocked all the balance games, all but one of the cardio, all but 3 of strength training, and all yoga poses!

I will say I'm a bit surprised to have unlocked just about everything so fast! But I still have advanced levels to unlock and beginner levels to master. I'm not sure how much physical effect the balance games have or if they just there for fun and I think I need more rigorous cardio.... but I'm really impressed with the strength training and yoga. Every day of this week I've had at least one group of muscles that have had that pleasant soreness of being used. (And NOT the unbearable, OMG if I sneeze it will hurt soreness like I had with all of my gym trainers!)

I've been reading reviews about the EA Sports Active game - and all the reviews are pretty much saying it is AWESOME. I may have to put aside some funds to get that and step up my Fit a little, but in the meantime, this is still great and effective!
