He Knows Me So Well

Ironically, I'm talking about my boss, not my husband!
Sitting here, eating lunch, he comes out to talk to me. I'm eating hamburger helper. (It really is as much as I was up to making last night.) He asks why I'm eating the crap, I don't eat like that. (He's a really healthy guy and we compare recipies and fitness tips a lot.) I reminded him how tired I've been and he's like I must be beyond exhausted if that's what I made for dinner. (Not surprisingly he didn't give me a problem at all with my taking time off tomorrow for the dr appt. He was actually glad to hear I had it.)
Why did I make it? We had to hit the store last night and quite honestly I just wasn't up to thinking through a nutritious dinner. I saw the box, thought 15 minutes and 1 pan - easy. Making decisions was just beyond me. If I hadn't already had a list ready who knows what would have ended up in the cart.
On the bright side - boychild commented that we haven't had that for dinner in forever, and I realized that it's probably been about a year since I took that particular shortcut. Good news is that while he might "miss" crappy food when we do have it, he doesn't ask for it when I'm loading his plate with good food all the time. Guess I'm just lucky that way.
