First week of my new program... Comments

Hello

Well, one week down... And I gained weight. 2 lbs.

I am not upset, because I know I started right before my 10 year wedding anniversary weekend, and really, there was a lot of food and I did not make an effort to track it. We went out to restaurants a few times, and I did not exercise a lot of restrain.

But there are a lot of things I learned this week about my eating habits:
- I need more water
- Less carbs
- More proteins

I also need to rekindle my love with exercise. But, I will be training for the Good Life 1/2 Marathon on October 18th. MizzD and I will be running it.

I am excited about this week coming up, because I feel that I can have a better handle on nutrition as I am monitoring my habits and can fine tune them.

I hope to be able to post more positive outcomes in the future.

    I've never heard of the program, but I've looked at your previous blog with your before pics, and I have to say -- you have great body proportions ~ when you conquer your plan, you're going to look absolutely AWESOME!

    I'll be standing by to check out the pics definitely! Love before and after shots!

    I'm currently doing Body For Life and have been taking pics every 3 weeks. Today is the beginning of week 5, so I'm hoping to post Week 1, 3 and 6 pics at the conclusion of Week 6. I saw a big difference from Week 1 to Week 3 ~ so, I know you will too :-)

    I think more protein will help as well. I'd also watch the fat grams. Keep tracking absolutely everything so you get a true picture of what's going in and that will help you to do more evaluations as you progress. Also, you might want to take notes on how you are feeling energy wise with the adjustments to get a good idea of what your body is wanting.

    The love of exercise will come in time I bet. For me in the beginning it's more of a struggle and then I get into it and start to hate missing workouts. You'll get there to, just keep at it.

    I have found, from tracking my nutrition on this site, that like you I need to eat more protein as well.
    I know that will help.
