SparkPeople's Nutrition Tracker

I did not use the Food Tracker when I first started SP because it took me awhile to get the hang of it. When I did I was so happy. I did not go by the suggested menu but I added my food each day. I really enjoyed knowing the nutritional value and calories of each food I added. Also, I loved the feature of adding foods I ate often to my favorites. It made for quicker adding of my foods to my meal plan.
Listing all my foods every day made me fully aware of what I was putting in my mouth. I had tried to write down on paper everything I ate but I would forget to do it. However, when I started using the Tracker, I knew I had a responsibility to put down every bite I ate. Otherwise, I would not get a summary report advising me how well I ate that day. I found that I was low in healthy fats a few times, I didn't eat enough calories, or I didn't eat enough complex carbs. When I would get answers like these it helped me to pay more attention to the foods that I needed to eat to stay healthy.
I'd advise everyone to use the Food Tracker because it counts the calories for you. Most of all when I get my Summary Report it is very detailed in advising me what nutrients I'm lacking, if I ate too many or not enough calories and etc. Also, details are written throughly about the different nutrients, and how each nutrient is used by the body to keep it healthy and how much to consume each day.
As a result I have lost weight and lots of inches. I have dropped two sizes in clothing. I feel so much better, stronger, more energy and happier.
