Walking .....such a simple everyday ordinary thing to do, until you turn it into an exercise!
Today I mapped out a route in my neighborhood, 1.07 miles. My best friend of 35 years came over and joined me for a walk.
Very first thing as we headed out the door, she started asking me questions. What was going on down the street?? I hadn't been down that way so we changed my walk plan to investigate. W hat was going on down the street?
Within one block west of me they are building two new houses. One where there wasn't house and one where they had torn down the old and are building new. This is pretty amazing since I live in older established neighborhood. Boy do I need to get out walking in my area more often.
Since we had altered the route in the beginning we had to make a few changes to the end. All and all not a bad walk, 1.07 miles in 35 minutes and it was hotter than we expected, so we were both drenched when we got back home!!
Next time going to drive to the trail down by the river and walk where it's cool!!
