Used Up My Happy!!

Tuesday, June 02, 2009

Have you ever felt that way. Like you used up all of your happy.

Today I woke up to a grey overcast day, after having so many beautiful sunny days. I am very affected by the weather and today I feel as gloomy as the sky looks, all grey and overcast!!

I am past trying to figure out why I go thru these moods, I just let my self be and know that tomorrow will be better.

I will take good care of myself, even do a little pampering. read, and take a nap!!

To anyone who may be going thru the same , be kind to yourself!!!

I think cloudy grey days affect most of us like that!! Your mood just kind of goes along with the weather. I hope you spent the day being good to yourself!! Maybe there will be sun tomorrow!!

Yes Janice, I am the same... It is funny, in the winter I am fine with over cast skies since we get so many of them, but in the spring I expect the sunshine and when it does not I get a little moody too.. the last few weeks have been horrible for me. I can understand. Be kind to yourself too... take care... emoticon Sondra

I'm affected by the weather too. When it rained for weeks on end with no visible sunshine, I got very gloomy and depressed. Pampering is a good way to conquer it and I like naps a lot! You might, if it happens very often, think about putting an enhanced lamp in a place you like to sit and relax. It approximates sunlight and it sure helped me a lot.

I, too, can shift with the loss of direct sunlight. (While it's on the continuum of Seasonal Affective Disorder - depression in winter - my theory is it relates to Vitamin D deficiency, trading sunblock and sunhats for sunlight.) Knowing "this too shall pass," not losing perspective in over reacting to the moment, rather than allowing it to "be" as an important part of you too, is wisdom personified. Thanks for the heads-up on my "mood" today (overcast). Sometimes, I forget! emoticon
