Ok so yesterday was my 19th birthday and I realized that I'm 19 and I am overweight and I have tried to loose it but I just dont seem to do it and well I'm fed up with it. I am really tired of having to be the overweight girl in all of my friends. The one that stays behind when the rest of the boys ask the girls to dance. Well i'm done! My only problem is that I dont know even where to start. I already dont drink coke or fast food and stuff like that. I know I need to start excercising but I dont know how to start. I have tried going to the gym but I feel to weird because I feel that everyone is just staring at me because everyone there at the gym is super thin and healthy!! Well starting today I will officially start living a healthy life. Wish me luck!

Happy Birthday!! and another thing I have learned is to not care about what others think there are always people out there who will put others down by their stares or snickering but at the same time there are the same amount of good people in the world who are proud of you and know you have a lot of good to offer the world and want you to be healthy so you can live longer to share yourself with others!

Try swimming -- submerged in the water you may not feel so exposed. You may fear getting in the pool but you have to start somewhere and it will be a good way to conquer your fear of being seen by people for just one second while you get in and then you swim and no one can see you work out you'll feel weightless and free always remember though that you matter not the onlookers they are just negative and there's no space for them to rent don't allow others to hold you back. And if you absolutely can't work out in public try dvds at home beach body work outs are amazing and easy as long as you are consistent. I can help you stay on track too if you want.

Start exercising by just enjoying the nice weather -- get out for an hour walk everyday. I work at my state's health department. A lot of the staff use our 15 minute breaks to walk a mile loop around our state capital twice a day. It really makes a difference! Most people start exercising this way.

When you hang out with friends, try to do something active.

Try a new healthy recipe and cook it for your family.

Little things really do make a huge difference. Start small and work up. I'm sure you'll do great! 19 is a really great age to change your life! Happy Birthday emoticon
