The Fit Flop

Sunday, May 31, 2009

I found this interesting new shoe that calls itself a gym in itself. They are essentially flipflops that have a special design to get your butt and theighs working hard while you walk. The sole is very soft, which is what drew me to it in the first place, as I have had trouble with my heels in the past. Come to find out, it corrects problems such as heel spurs, plantar faciitis, and back pain whch I suffer from all three.

An exerpt from their website: "What do women want? They want something they can do two things at once. They want something where they can save time. They want something like the women's Fit Flops that works there legs out while they walk. Along comes a sandal solution that is a great way to train the bottom of your feet to do all the work that it would do if you were walking barefoot. The best part? Fit Flops for women won't break the bank!"

I tested them out last night while out on the town. I had one big hill to walk up at the end of the night, and I can say that I felt my but really working while walking, but it wasn't painful. My feet did not hurt all night & I feel as though I got in a good workout without doing much work at all!

They are $50 and well worth it! I have had surgery for heel spurs on both heels, as well as plantar faciatice ( I know I tortured the spelling - lol) but I can walk for hours in these & they feel great! I am going to wear them to Disneyland next week... hopefully they will stand up to their pomise & give me a workout too!

I got my fit flops last year. I love them. Wear'em all the time. I even bought the fit flop slippers to wear in the house in the winter.
