Clear and sunny?

The weather forecast changed overnight. Instead of being clear and sunny today, it started raining this morning, about the time I was getting up to go biking. With that and scattered thunderstorms and showers predicted for the afternoon, I canceled my bike trip. So here I sit, while the weather outside looks great, at least for now. I'll probably go out and do a little riding by myself, but I don't yet know where, or how far. So many trails; so little time. There are always more things I want to do than could ever possibly fit into a day. I also just learned from a friend that she sold some cards for me, and took orders for more. It's tempting to just stay home and make cards, but that is not going to help me get fit and lose weight. I'll figure it out. Somehow.
I did get out yesterday. I ran the equivalent of a 5K in 40 minutes, took pictures at my daughter's soccer game (she's a goalie; see above) and biked 17.5 miles in about 2 hours. I don't feel stiff or sore. All this exercise really helps me get through the challenges of the work week better too.
Next weekend, my Saturday morning running class will be doing a practice run on the course where our first 5K will take place on June 20. I'll be walking in D.C.'s Race for the Cure instead. I was going to pass on it this year and make a donation instead, but I have a friend/former supervisor who lost a 38 year old daughter to breast cancer a couple of years ago, and I couldn't say no to her. So I signed up, and I just received my race packet and T-shirt on Friday.
The kids are doing well, and my husband is STILL waiting for his new job to start. "Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose" (The more things change, the more they stay the same...)
I hope you all have a great week.
