Losing the same pounds over & over

On Monday I made a fresh start. I knew I had gain some weight back so I got on the scale. Now just 4 days later I have dropped 5 pounds. Must have been fluid retention. This time around I want to make sure they stay off and are joined by a few dozen more pounds. I had a goal of 5 pounds per month for this calendar year. Well, I have adjusted my goal. Still want to lose an average of 5 pounds per month, but I won't discourage myself by trying to catch up for the months I have not lost. Instead, I have readjusted my calendar... May 25th, 2009 - May 24th, 2010. I have my sights set on a size 8 mother-of-the-bride dress.
