5/27/09 I got a Wii Fit!!!!!

Thursday, May 28, 2009

emoticonAfter much debate and debacle of what on EARTH I'm going to do to maintain some sort of consistency with physical exertion, I finally decided on getting a Wii Fit.

I'm not sure why I and everyone around me didn't think of it sooner, but God brought someone along my path who mentioned how well it worked for her and it's FREAKIN' AWESOME!!! Granted, I think I'll have to do something else to really get the cardio aspect going, but the strength training, yoga, and balance exercises are super. (Not to mention the Wii Sports games too.) lol... I think I played for over 3 hours tonight. I didn't even bother to eat dinner............ HAHA... it's working already!!!

Anyhow, after beating myself up and feeling crummy for not finding a decent/affordable gym membership, I finally feel motivated and excited. =D That's the best part (aside from the comfort and PRIVACY of my own living room). Oh, and the Wii and Wii trainer always have positive things to say to you. lol, seems silly but it's really nice when you feel like you just did a yoga pose about as well as a whale might.

My goal is to keep a fairly continuous blog on this for a couple of reasons: 1 - So that I can be kept accountable and show that I've been using this thing on a regular basis. 2 - To hopefully encourage some of you with some actual results in case you're sick of paying trainers or being stared at when you go to the gym or whatever the case may be.

I really believe God led me to this... as much as I've struggled with every other option and knowing that His way is light and easy, it just makes sense. And it's WAAAAY cool to know our God would even use Nintendo for our good! : ) emoticon

I love my Wii Fit! It is what got me really started on working out regularly. Without it, I'm sure I would not still be doing this... and it's only been a month.

    Have fun!

I don't have Wii Fit, but I love playing Wii Sports. The boxing is great and according to my calculations I can burn 250 calories in a half hour! Have you seen the new Active game? I think I might ask for it for my b-day.------amy
