Yesterday, after working a chaotic *funfilled* 12 hour plus shift, I came home at 8pm and promptly gulped down dinner in less than two minutes flat. My wonderful husband is such a keeper.... grilled chicken, corn on the cob, cilantro-flavored beans. mmm mmm good! Hard to resist, but really...my dish was rinsed and in the dishwasher by the three minute mark. I need to learn to cut that out! The gulping that is... it could of been worse... it could have been a big greasy pizza.
Let's rewind a bit.... work sort of sucked, I was too busy to even think about eating, so I was well within my calorie range. My plan was to come home from work, change into my exercise close, work my ass off and then eat a reasonable meal and maybe have a glass of wine. Didn't quite happen that way.
How's a woman supposed to Shred on a full stomach? The other day I nearly puked on an empty stomach, let alone jumping around with a gut full of chicken and corn. I thought about it a bit and began feeling a bit guilty. Screw it I'm doing it--- the food hadn't even had time to hit the bottom of my stomach anyway. I didn't even bother to change into my workout clothes (scrubs are baggy..no big deal). I soon regretted this fact after the jumping jacks began and I realized that it felt like I had two canteloupes bouncing off my chin. There really is no way to hold onto your boobies and do a proper jumping jack. At any rate, I made it through the entire 27 minutes... yaye me. I didn't cramp, puke or pass out. I made it.
It still isn't pretty... but i have 4 days down (it might even be getting a little easier).
