Graduation Week

Wednesday, May 20, 2009

Hi guys,

Let me first apologize to all my teams where I have been MIA for the last two weeks. It has been a rollercoaster. Graduation was very emotional. I was able to refrain from shedding a tear the whole day, but when I went to see my family after the event, my Dad had surprised me and was sitting in the stands. My dad never attended my elementary, high, or community college graduation. We have been estranged and just started talking on a regular basis last year. When I called him to extend the invitation out, he said he would not be able to make it. He has not left home for some 15 years - he didn't even have a passport. Needless-to-say that was very emotional for me, so the tears just started flowing and everyone else proceeded to cry.

On to less tearful things - Hubby! Well, for those of you that read my blog "husband in the dark" know the history. For those of you that didn't, basically he has not seen me since last year October. I had dressed up in some brown linen shorts and this fitted tangerine top and some heels to get him at the airport- He missed his flight, so he had to drive. I found this out while waiting in the parking lot at the airport. I was not going to sit for four hours in the outfit and wait for him as I had to go to the hairdressers. Well, when I got home, he was in the bedroom ironing his clothes for the graduation and he took one look at me and was speechless. He wrapped his arms around me (they fit around my whole body) and just kept pushing me back and looking at me in utter disbelief. He said he knew I had lost weight, but he did not expect anything like this. He then proceeded to squeez my booty and tell me not to loose anymore of it. He was with me for four days and talked about my weight the whole time saying he still couldn't believe it.

Well - the clincher, he could not even get any as I had a visitor earlier and was on for two days of his trip. I can't express in words how disappointed he was :) :). But, he made up for it afterwards. Since then I have been busy packing up. I sent 11 - 45 gallon blue storage containers that you can buy at Walmart packed with my girls and my stuff. The weight once packed ranged from 80-120lbs. Doing the lease, utilities, car registration etc. This evening is my first break. But, I have put myself ahead and I am packed. My husband and I leave for our cruise on May 30 (our graduation gift from my mom). I am really looking forward to it. I will post some pics.

Talk to you soon.

    Hey Natasha,

Just phenomenal! Sooooo very happy and proud of you. Hard work is it own reward but those extras are a big, big plus. Thank you. You have given me the extra boost I needed to keep going with my workouts this week. Enjoy your cruise and try not to bring back any smuggled passengers (i.e. an additional sister or brother for your girls) LOL!
