Water Retention!

Argh, I don't get it! I'm retaining water like CRAZY. My ankles are swollen like MPs' purses, apparently.

I just.

I'm drinking enough water.

I'm drinking MORE THAN ENOUGH water. I'm drinking, like, 1.5 litres of water a day OR MORE. (Normally more. ESPECIALLY WHEN I'M AT WORK, because there's NO AIR IN MY OFFICE, and so I have to drink water to keep my body functioning at base levels.)

So why am I all water-retainy? My period has gone (finally), so I'm thinking that's not it. I'm drinking plenty of water. I'm not eating any more salt than usual.

I actually gave up salting my food except for when it's required for cooking, but sometimes I forget that too, and the only salt I get is what I take in from the foods I eat. My diet hasn't changed much in the past two weeks, so what gives?! Honestly.

There are times when I just DO NOT understand my body at all. This is one of them.

    Gosh, that blows! I wish I could give you a suggestion... I've never had a problem with water retention (knock on wood). Obviously drink water... but if you need some help I know that around here you can get a water pill over the counter. I don't think it would be considered a diet pill, I have a friend who takes them because he doctor told her that the trouble she was having retaining water was dangerous. I guess check that one out with RYANLEEV if you decide you want to try it. Here's hoping it's getting ready to break through and you'll just drop all that water! emoticon

    Drink More! I know, I know. It's like "WHAT?!?!" but I'm sooooo serious. I was drinking about 72oz of water a day and for some reason I was still retaining water. I doubled it and yeah it made me have to go a WHOLE lot, but I realized I had lost like 3lbs in water weight. Just a suggestion. emoticon
