So close...yet, so far

When people ask me how I lost almost 110 lbs, I tell them truth. It kind of just happened. I don't remember struggling the way I am now. Maybe I just wasn't struggling as much. Or maybe I'm just tired . I don't know, but I feel like I've hit a wall. I am working out, watching what I eat almost to the point of obsession and still I've gained 4 lbs. Only 30 lbs till I reach my weight goal of 150, and I can't even get to 175. I was hoping to reach 150 by summer, but with 2 back-to-back surgeries in February and March I knew that wasn't going to happen. So I settled for just having my weight continue moving in a downward motion. When I got on the scale yesterday I was was sure I'd lost something (probably not as much as I would have liked, but something) and instead it says I gained almost 4 lbs. I'm not giving up, just feeling a little discouraged. emoticon

I know how you feel, My first weight loss of about 30 pounds wasn't too bad, but now there have been so many things events, holidays, special events. It is hard to say no, and I think I should know better, but see myself sitting still too. I do something wrong, then work had to recover then then next wall comes along, and I struggle again.

But I read something the other day, I'll share with you. It motivated me and I hope it will you too! Is it a wall or a gate? If you see it as a brick wall with no way out you might just give up. If you see it as a gate, and know you are determined to go forward, you will find a way. Either around, thru, over or under. You won't let it stop you, It may be a detour, but your destination has not changed.

You know that what has been working for you in the past will work again if you keep going!

Good luck. .and keep in touch - Tami

It is always easier to lose the weight in the beginning. The closer you get to your goal weight the hard the last pounds are to lose. Make sure you mix things up with your nutrition and workouts to keep your body guessing. This will help out some. I am here if there is anything I can do. Love the dragonflies by the way.
