Making time for me

I have no shortage of things to do - I have more to do everyday than I could possibly get done and have developed the habit of just bumping stuff to the next day and the next day and the next until it's finally taken care of.

I work full time, I'm in the middle of starting my own company, my fiance just started a second business of his own in October and is still running the first - we're both just stretched to the limit. It got to be far too easy to skip the workouts and jet through the drive-through for a quick bite to eat instead of making a healthy choice.

I kept telling myself that it was only temporary until things settled down, but before I knew I gained a lot of weight and was feeling pretty tired and run down.

So here I am, determined to set aside a little time each day to take care of me and my body. I find that the workouts really do help with the stress - it's easier to sleep at night and I can handle a lot more when I have energy left at the end of the day. This is a good lesson - no matter what's going on, make time for yourself.

    Glad your business is going well. I always thought if I'd had any business I'd have failed. BUT, I'd have been a good doctor. emoticon
