Week Two

Wednesday, May 06, 2009

So, I stepped on the scales again today. Without getting dressed, without brushing my teeth, without really waking up.

I honestly thought I was either still asleep or delusional.

27st 9lbs. (Quick calculation once I'm back at the computer: 387lbs)

Last week I had been 28st.

This time, there wasn't even wavering of the numbers.

(I have one of those teeny wee glass scales from Weight Watchers, because they're the only ones that go up as far as I need them to go... *SHAME* But it's so small, it's hard to stay still when you're trying to see the numbers in front of your feet when your belly's in the way.)

27st 9lbs.

I'm absolutely thrilled. 10lbs gone in two weeks? 13lbs in less than a month! God, I can walk without getting a sore hip again!

Ahahaha! Thrilled is not a good enough word to describe it.

But yes, I'm happy! 10lbs gone! :D YAAAAAAAAY.

A stone is a measurement of weight. It's just a collection of 14lbs - for every 14lbs, that's a stone. I'm not sure if it's Metric or whatever. ^^;;; I know most of the UK uses kg or something now? And the USA just uses lbs.

    (Quick calculation gives me that 27st = 378lbs. Therefore, my weight = 27st 9lbs = 387lbs!)

    Hope that helps. :D

I was honestly more worried about the glass breaking! I'm very glad to have a scale that measures up to my weight at all that I don't have to attend a class for!

@ Nancy: Don't worry about that, HAHA! I definitely intend to eat PLENTY of lovely fatty American food when I'm over! If nothing else, it will tide me over until my next holiday to the States.

    @ Everyone else:

Thanks for the support, guys. :) It's things like this that keeps me going!

    Congratulations on your weight loss!

It's funny to me that WW sells a tiny scale that counts higher weights. Are they just trying to torture you, or to motivate you to lose?
