3 Months Waste Of Insurance

Tuesday, May 05, 2009

So I went to the free clinic and I had to wait an hour to be called. I was able to get this free health insurance through the county that I live in and it's good for a year. I called the appointment line a few minutes ago to make an appointment to be seen by a doctor. The soonest available appoint is AUGUST 12th!!!!!! That's three + plus months away. Now that is a serious waste of 3 months of health insurance. They're booked up and that's the soonest appointment that they have.

I still haven't gotten my new bank card yet. I'm hoping it comes today because my card will be automatically deactivated tomorrow.

Finally the cell phone website is working and was able to pay my bill this morning! Yay :)

I'm about to head off to the gym to do 20 minutes on the stationary bike and 25 minute circuit training. When I come home I'm going to tackle the dining room since it's getting to look a bit cluttered. I wish my uncle would stop putting his tools on the dining room table as there is a garage and basement for that crap. But he'll never listen!

Three months is really ridicolous, especially considering what you have been through already to get all papers signed. Though, I am very happy to hear they will support you.
Well done on the phone bills and by the never listen!

Wow that is a long wait. I am sorry you can not find a dr who will take your insuranc. I know our dental clinic has a 2-3 YEAR wait list!

I am decluttering little by little, it makes me feel more in control!

That is a long time to wait.I pray you will find another option.Do they have somewhere you can go that will take the insurance if you are feeling sick and not just going for a check-up?
If not that insurance doesn't sound like a very big help!

Not sure why you have to go to the DR, but 3 months is a long time to wait! If your sick or something is wrong, I'd try to find other options. Google it. Here in IL theres free clinics in a lot of towns in the county, is there another clinic near you that you can go to? Also Walgreens here have walk in clinics and they take our free gov aid insurance. Even if your just going for a check up, I'd look for other options too.

That is not fair you have to wait 3 months to see the doc when you need to see one now. do they have an emergency way to get in? Hope your new card comes today
Try not to stress too much over all this but I know that is not easy
