Body Ball

Tuesday, May 05, 2009

I bought a body ball last weekend and I'm having a lot of fun with it at home. I'm getting much better at doing crunches on it and I actually prefer it over doing them on a mat. I'm glad there's not a camera around, though. I must look really comical in my efforts to do some of the exercises right. With a couple of them I just roll right off! It's fun, though, and I'll keep it around so I can work out on it while watching the Rockies on TV.

You can get a body ball at Walmart for $8. I recommend it for a fun way to get more exercise into your day. I laugh a lot, even if I don't get much true exercise in.

First of all, thanks for the tip on where to get a ball for 8 dollars...I have it on my list of things to do...use one at the gym but thought having one at home would keep me from snacking while I stretched out on it.
In yoga we stretch backwards over the ball for a supple spine...also in yoga we know that the silly falling off the ball is childlike and good for you..you are willing to explore and try and pick yourself up again and again, unlike adults who don't like to try anything they may not be good at right away. So good for you!

Laughing is a core exercise..... isn't it.... aw, c'mon! LOL

I can just see you... bouncing around, laughing at yourself, having fun while burning calories... That is exactly the way it SHOULD be! I'm going to Wally-world tomorrow and we can get together and bounce around!

I can just picture you "rolling off" LOL!! Funny isn't it how a new piece of equipment can put a whole different perspective on something that we've been doing forever. Being able to change your workouts is what keeps everything fresh, but the most important part is enjoying what you're doing... sounds like you're having a great time.
